BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Curcumin/ curcuminoids are the bioactive phytochemicals in Turmeric that provide therapeutic benefits.

Turmeric is botanically known as Curcuma longa. It is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the ginger family, which is native to tropical South Asia. Turmeric has a very long medicinal use history dating back 4000 years. The rhizome is the plant part that provides its therapeutic benefits.

Directions
